For unto us a Savior is born!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours! Christmas is such a special holiday for me. It is a reminder not only of my Savior’s birth, but that He came, that He lived here on earth and experienced all the same struggles I do… and He did not have to. He chose to. He became our High Priest who is able to sympathize with our sufferings (Hebrews 4) because of Christmas. And after he had lived… he died. For you and for me. And the greatest joy is that He did not stay in the grave!! He rose again. And because He rose again I can have eternal life (John 3).
The best Christmas gift this year was that my nephew, Scout, was able to come for Christmas! ANd although he is still facing various challenges, God has done miracles in his little body and he is doing well!
Thank you Lord that you are the God that heals…
This week we kick off a series of events as a church concluding Sunday with a Christmas concert.
We will be giving food, clothing and toys to needy families in our town; and hosting to concerts in church on Sunday evening. The event that we are so excited about is this thursday: Bracciaperte, the ministry to immigrants in our local community, will be hosting an event for the children who attend our weekly tutoring sessions. Their families have been invited as well.
Please pray for all these upcoming events and then the light that shone among us long ago will shine in the hearts of many people in this community throughout this week of festivities.
We had the wonderful joy and privilege to have a staff retreat this weekend.
We have the best team in the world and it is such an honor to work with them. The thing that always amazes me is that they are all volunteers … they serve because reaching the nations is a huge part of their hearts.
We were able to work on our vision and planning for the upcoming year, and to pray and spend time together and with the Lord!
A huge thank you to our amazing team. We love you!
You are one in a Minion!!
Asking for prayers for my littlest nephew, Scout.
He was operated Wednesday December 2 due to a blockage between the exit of his stomach and his duodenum. He has been encountering numerous hurdles since his surgery so we would just ask for your continued prayers for healing, and for his parents for strength as the days in the hospital drag on and for financial provision for the enormous medical costs that they will be affronting when he his finally released.
We love our little buddy and it is tremendously difficult to be far away during times like this. So you can say a little prayer for us and our kids as well.
