August 15 is a holiday in Italy.
We had the joy of spending the day with our amazing kids and one more “big kid” added to our bunch for a few days and friends.
It was a wonderful, albeit wet, day of rest. A chance to relax, and let go of the burdens of these days and just enjoy God’s grace and love and provision. We have a pretty amazing family here (adopted aunties and cousin and uncles etc) and it is always a joy to have some time with them….
So I, I am feeling thankful for this day of rest!
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, a
nd I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:28-29).”
We have the best team. Ever. Period.
So thankful for a little needed time together to pray over one another, share how we are doing and just to spend some time together relaxing. After an intense summer it was the perfect evening as a team.
We are looking forward to all the new season has to bring and rejoice looking back over everything that has already been accomplished in 2015!
We are filled with joy and gratitude as God has added once more to our team.
A truly amazing couple with whom we have had the privilege of working closely over the last few years will be officially joining our team! We are so thankful for the wonderful addition that they are to the i68 family and for the wisdom and experience that they will bring to our team.
God is faithful- there is so much to do and we hope he keeps bringing people into our path who can help us in reaching the nations!
Sunday August 2 at 8:30 there was a city wide march to show our support for the victims families and loved ones after the accident in the firework factory on Friday July 24. It was a beautiful time together as a city. United in our pain, but we are so thankful that as a church we were able to show that there is hope in Christ. Hope for today and for tomorrow.
God is love and is showing His love and grace to a city that is in need. We are humbled and honored to be His light in this time of darkness.
We would ask your continued prayers for our city. Thank you for your support.
