Time is precious

We are so thankful for the gift of time.

It was a joy to have my parents here with us for a month and to be spoiled with 4 days at the sea with them right before they left for home. They are always such a blessing to us, both when they are here and from a distance. They never tire in supporting us in prayer, financially, with a word of encouragement or a timely visit. When they are here they go above and beyond to bless me and my family, helping with everything from washing dishes, buying groceries, doing laundry, ironing (a task I personally loathe) to special time with each kid and a date or two with me also!

My parents have had a rough year, so this year’s visit was particularly special and treasured by each of us. They will never know much how much they are appreciated and love and the legacy they have left even here in Italy!

Thankful that God has blessed me with such amazing parents.

School is out!

We survived a very challenging year! Chloe started her first year of school with a pretty tough and demanding teacher, Aurora made it through third grade (3rd grade here is unusually difficult), and EJ finished up his last year of elementary school.

We are so thankful for God’s grace is raising our children. Our family is our first ministry and it gives us great joy to watch them as they grow in knowledge and in Him.

“Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife,temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect.  If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?” 1 Timothy 3:2-5
