Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and loved ones
We are so thankful for all the good things in our lives. We are thankful that God has called us into His service and allowed us to serve Him as missionaries. Although it is not always easy, we are thankful and feel priviledged.
After taking several days to adjust to the time change and conquer jet-lag, Gianluca was able to take a three day spiritual retreat. My Grandma was so kind as to permit us to use her condo in beautiful Edmonds Washington. We are so thankful for this opportunity that God provided. Gianluca was able to spend time in prayer, reading God’s Word, and seeking Him and his will for our lives and our ministry. It was a great chance to be alone (which never happens with two little munchkins around!) and to spend time with the Lord. We are truly seeking spiritual refreshment and renewal during our time here and it is during moments like these that God is most able to speak to us, or better, that we are most able to hear His voice.
Quick update on Carli: We were also supposed to take a few days just the two of us to be alone and to seek the Lord together but what began as our first evening alone ended up as quite the adventure. Carli went into prelabor thursday night and we spent several hours in the hospital. Thankfully the contractions stopped and Carli (with baby still in the womb!) was able to go home that same night. To be safe we decided to stay close to home and the hospital and take it easy. So we continue to look forward to finding moments alone together and moments of prayer and seeking the Lord together as well.

The conference went very well. For the first time Mission i6:8 had great visibility and a great opportunity for exposure. Mission i6:8 has been working locally, but because of the growing interest nationally, we were excited to be able to share the ministry with all the youth at the conference. We were disappointed that our local contact in Morocco was unable to make it to the conference due to visa complications, but were really pleased to see Luigi (the mission i6:8 missionary who was recently in Albania for a 6 month missions trip) step up into the role and share the ministry at the conference. God has been good to provide solid people to the Mission i6:8 ministry who can collaborate together with Gianluca in order to carry the ministry forward to the next level.
500 youth from all over Italy attended this years conference. 10 people accepted the Lord and many young people committed serving in their local churches and several to serving the Lord in ministry! God is so good! Praise the Lord!
We made it to America in one piece! God was so faithful- our flights went really well, as did every detail of our travels. We are all a bit jet-lagged and confused as to what time it is, but we are all healthy and happy to be here. The kids jumped right in to the mix with the rest of the cousins and are loving being with the family here. We are thankful to all of you for your prayers and appreciate your continued prayers for our time here and the birth of our baby girl.
